Humble Heart Farms Goat Cheese is a product of the Tennessee River Valley.  The sun, rain, wind, grasses and feed all come together to favor our cheese.  The "girls" come from a long line which produce excellent milk.  We carefully provide the best nutrition with grazing, a custom blended feed and hay.  This is the secret to our fine quality chevre (goat cheese).  Humble Heart Farms makes a fresh spreadable fromage in  seven flavors.

Our herd consists of the pure white Saanen and Saanen/Alpine crosses, the Holstein of the goat world. We follow a natural dairy cycle, milking for ten months of the year, breeding in the fall and kidding in early February. December and January is our "Sabbath" time when goats and farmers rest, rejuvenate and prepare for the next cycle. Each spring we will sell more than 100 purebred baby goats.

Humble Heart Farms produces Farmstead Cheese

Like a fine vintage wine from a small vineyard, our cheeses have a special flavor with subtle qualities found only in local dairies.  We carefully provide the best nutrition through rotational grazing and a custom  grain and hay.  This is the "secret" of our fine quality chevre (goat cheese). We make a fresh, spreadable Fromage (in seven flavors),  At Holiday times we make special flavored cheese, such as at Christmas we make a Pecan-Cranberry.  We also started producing a Chocolate Goat Cheese Fudge. We will continue to develop new styles.

Goat cheese can be used like any other cheese.  Our cheese offers great versatility.  It is a delicious creamy cheese to enjoy with fruit and wine or as a popular ingredient in many delicious recipes. You can spread it on crackers or bread, use it in salads, soups, pizzas or pasta or as a topping for fresh vegetables or baked potatoes. Goat cheese is a healthy alternative to many other cheeses because it is easier to digest and lower in fat and cholesterol.

There are kids all over the place.  We have lots of mothers giving birth at the same time.  We are starting to milk and will be making cheese and frozen desserts very soon.  Pray for good weather to make it easier for births.

I visited Ayers Farm last week and was surprised that they were not busy.  Don't we eat healthy during the winter months. People support local companies!   As most of you know Ayers Farm is located on Memorial Parkway and Governor Dr in Huntsville.  Ayers Farm is a family owned and operated that have supplied farm-fresh produce for over 30 years! They even sell our Humble Heart Goat Cheese.   Ayers Farm also goes to the Amish community to buy product specifically for the residents of Huntsville. In addition to their fresh produce, they carry a full line of canned fruits and jellies. Many of their jellies are available in sugar-free varieties!
